Biography

Welcome to my biography! I was born and raised across North Carolina and have experienced many different ways of life from the rural countryside to the concrete jungle of city life. I knew that I wanted to become a teacher due to the excellence of those who educated me throughout Middle and High School. This was reinvigorated and I have loved watching students make those real-world connections through history. In 2017 I became a Mountaineer and I have grown rapidly since then. I became a Resident Assistant, Orientation Leader, and most importantly an Educator while attending Appalachian. I cannot wait to bring my experiences into the classroom.
Education
Appalachian State University
Started in the Fall of 2017 and graduating early in December of 2020, Williams split studies between the Reich College of Ed and Department of History. In addition to classwork, Williams is involved in the App Educator Club, the Middle Fork Diversity Partnership with Winston Salem State University, and the Appalachian Community of Educational Scholars (ACES) which was a program commissioned through the College of Ed to replace the Teaching Fellows Program. Through these organizations, Williams was able to participate in additional field experiences, days of service, and professional developments.
